Bruichladdich Distillery is famed for their unpeated Islay malt and since their revival in the year 2000, whisky legend Jim McEwan pushed into new realms of experimentation.
The Cuvée Collection:
A collection if six individual Bruichladdich 16 Year Old Cuvée, each benefiting from additional Cask evolution in the best French oak, from one of the very greatest Bordeaux Chateaux. Each Cuvée sharing the same Bruichladdich 16 Heritage, but each then subtly influenced by a distinct French Oak and First Wine Growth.
This bottle is the sixth and final edition in the “Cuvée Collection”. This bottle has been matured in a Chateau LaFleur cask from the Pomerol sub-region of Bordeaux.
Nose: Wine and fruit, mainly red berries but also cherries and apricot, some vanilla and oak
Taste: Smooth, long and a nice sweetness
