The 2018 distillery exclusive from The Dalmore.
This whisky started its journey in a 1999 in a freshly emptied American White Oak ex-bourbon barrel. In 2011, the precious liquid was then transferred into an aged Pedro Ximenez sherry butt specially selected from the renowned Gonzalez Byass bodega. Here it remained until its bottling in 2018. A perfect match for The Dalmore, the influence of the sherry creates a whisky which is indulgent, smooth and complex.
This limited edition expression is exclusive to The Dalmore distillery and showcases Richard’s artistry in cask selection and maturation.
Nose – Orange peel, treacle tart, honey and crushed almonds
Palate – Colombian coffee, roasted hazelnuts, praline chocolate and pecan pie
Finish – Raisins, succulent dates, maple syrup and marmalade
Bottled at a cask strength of 50%
