An initial sweetness from this dram gives way to that Islay peat that we love so much. The beautiful presentation of the bottle – the jet black label and regal wooden box- reminds one of the dark briny Islay peat which is so powerful within this dram

Nose – Sweet Demerara sugar and baked red apples to start. The signature Laphroaig smoky peat underlies the spiced apple aromas

Palate – Initially an oaky dryness combined with peat that starts to overpower the sweeter flavours

Finish – A long finish with a mix of peat, salt and oak
