The Laphroaig Cairdeas Release for 2020
The annual Cairdeas Edition is usually released to celebrate the Feis Ile Islay Whisky Festival.
Due to the pandemic the Feis Ile was cancelled for this year however, Laphroaig still decided to release their Cairdeas Edition as usual.
The 2020 Edition is matured in a combination of port and wine casks.
It is described as “A unique marriage of classic Laphroaig whisky rested in second-fill Ruby Port ‘barriques’ along with whisky double matured in ex-Bourbon barrels followed by ex-red wine casks”
