An exceptional release from one of Scotland’s most luxurious Single Malt Whisky Distilleries. Dalmore’ 2017 Release is a 2000 vintage matured in Californian merlot barrique.
This exceptional Malt started it’s journey in 2000 when The Dalmore new make spirit was placed into an American White Oak ex-bourbon barrel. On the 27th of July 2011, it was carefully transferred into a hand-selected Californian Merlot Barrique. There it remained until early April 2017. Deeming the cask had gifted the flavours he sought, Richard then bottled the prized whisky at its natural strength.
Colour – Deep Mahogany gold shimmering with ruby highlights
Aroma – Succulent Black Forrest fruits, fleshy Victoria plum and sweet apricot
Palate – Morello cherries, blueberry pie, cinnamon and soft chewy liquorice
Finish – Chocolate Truffles, coffee and black toffee
