Tullibardine 228 Burgundy Cask Finish
One of the only distilleries to continually use Burgundy casks for a core range whisky. Tullibardine released this unusual malt in 2013. The whisky started off its life in Bourbon Casks and then was finished in Chateau de Chassagne Montrachet Burgundy for 12 months.
Nose – Red berry fruitiness with some sweet vanilla mixed with spices
Palate – More fruit with nuttiness too
Finish – A long finish with lingering rich, sticky fruits and gentle spiciness.
A beautifully smooth dram.
