Established in 1828 and grown through 5 generations of the Mitchell family – Springbank Whisky brand is one of the oldest and most loved in Scotland. Produced in Campbeltown – where on a clear sunny day you can see the Irish shores and mountains of Arran, it was once named the ‘whisky capital of the world.’ The Springbank distillery is one of three left in Campbeltown and is the oldest independent family-owned in Scotland.
Treasured by many all around the world and with a generous history it is no wonder Springbank Whisky is one of Scotland’s greatest success stories. Unlike many whisky distilleries, 100% of the production process is carried out onsite in Campbeltown, meaning that the distillery have full control of the excellent quality. Using traditional production methods from malting right through to bottling quality is the most important factor for this brand.
At The Rare Malt Whisky Company, we stock a wide range of rare Springbank Whisky. With its creamy, peaty texture and fruity bursts and toffee and cereal notes, the 21 year old bottle of Springbank is the oldest and most cherished bottle in our collection. For the perfect after-dinner whisky why not try the 15 year old bottle. It also has a creamy texture but with sweeter notes of toffee, dark chocolate figs, vanilla and raisins. Or if you are new to Springbank Whisky then the perfect introduction will be the 10 year old bottle – with its rich finish encompassing sweet flavours of cinnamon and salty tingles of oak.
